Christmas Eve in Milwaukee
We traveled to Milwaukee for Christmas this year, to spend it at my sister's new house. We ended up with three vehicles heading down, because our neighbor asked us to bring her treadmill to Milwaukee (she works/lives in Milwaukee during the week and comes home up here on weekends). These neighbors do a LOT for us, so we were more than happy to help out. The treadmill didn't fit in my truck with the cap on, and with all the... (posted by Julie 45 days 17 hours ago.)

"Rainbow" Cupcakes
The other day, as I was in the checkout line at the grocery store, I spotted a "cupcake" cookbook. While they ARE adorable, they were a LOT of work! Ingredients: 1 box Betty Crocker SuperMoist white cake mix Water... (posted by Julie 77 days 2 hours ago.)

Wow, my FIRST job? That's an easy one. I was a senior in a private college prepatory school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One of my close friends had gotten a part-time job at a metal finishing factory on the south side of Milwaukee, and her boss' friend, who also owned a metal finishing factory, needed someone to work part-time in the office. I was all of 17 years old, and was in charge of accounts payable, accounts... (posted by Julie 77 days 17 hours ago.)

Why is Food Sticking to my Cast Iron?
The biggest complaint we hear from folks who are new to cooking with cast iron is that whatever they're cooking is sticking to their cast iron. When cooking with cast iron, you MUST cook at lower temperatures than when using aluminum or other types of cookware.... (posted by Julie 3 years 315 days ago.)
